Medieval (13th to mid 14th century) pin from a disc-on-pin buckle: The pin has a large oval plate with a circular high-relief ring in the centre. There are two arms each paced on opposing sides, one arm is an elongated triangle while the other arm is curled and would have curled around the strap bar. The surface of the pin has an abraded red-brown matte surface. The pin measures 22.68mm long, 11.33mm wide, 5.33mm thick at the curl and weighs 1.16g. This buckle pin can be classified as a Redmayne (2014) Type B.
