A copper-alloy French late Medieval jetton dating to the 14th or 15th century. Obverse shows a Shield of France Ancient probably bearing four lis arranged 1-2-1. A serif motif in the field around the shield. Reverse shows a triple stranded cross fleuretty within a four-arched tressure. No reverse legend. No exact match to this jetton has been found in Mitchener however compare with: Mitchiner, M., 1988 Jetons, Medalets and Tokens: The Medieval Period and Nuremberg London : Hawkins Publications, pp.215 & 231, nos. 417-432 and 620 & 708.
