A complete Medieval to Post Medieval copper-alloy uniface coin weight, probably for a gold half Angel, dating to the period AD 1464 - 1604. The weight is hexagonal and flat with a design in light relief on one face. The other face is plain. The design is of St Michael facing forward, standing on and spearing a dragon. The legs of St Michael are bent, his wings outstretched, and he has a halo around his head. The spear, with cross at the top, is held from top left to lower right. It is sub-rectangular in plan and sub-triangular in section, with two vertical flutes and a sharp central crest. Traces of soot adhere to the surface. The foot projects forwards and has a flat base. This foot is similar to figure 4a in Butler et al (2009) Finds Research Group Datasheet 41.
