A medieval lead seal matrix. The seal is vesica shaped (pointed oval) and has an integral loop at the terminal on the reverse. The face of the seal is decorated with a lis with a pellet to either side. The legend is damaged in places at the top. The seal reads + S[IG'] ALANI.F'[?N--] (Seal of Alan, son of ?).

A medieval copper alloy seal matrix. The seal has a hexagonally faceted stem which tapers and rises to a collared lozenge shaped suspension loop. The shank flares at the base to form a circular seal. The back of the seal is decorated with six shield (or leaf) shaped panels. The face of the seal is decorated with an angel holding a shield. The angel has large folded wings that extend to either side of the head. A late medieval or post-medieval copper alloy scabbard chape. The chape is formed of two plates of almost identical form. The frontplate is shaped like a wide chevron, with a downward pointed base. The upper edge undulates. Two holes are seen to the left, and one to the right. The edges of the frontplate are angled downwards. The backplate is flat. A small rivet hole is located to either side.

A medieval copper alloy buckle and plate. The buckle has a D-shaped frame with a collared knop at the lip. The bar is narrowed and recessed. A rectangular plate is attached to the frame. It is undecorated and has a copper alloy rivet at the attachment end. A small chunk of fabric is visible between the two plates. The pin is missing.

A medieval copper alloy strap end. The body is flat, rectangular and incomplete, and extends to a narrowed concave waist. From this extends a terminal in the form of a cross with each arm ending in a trefoil. The strap end was originally made of two sheets of copper alloy; the second sheet only survives at the cross.

A medieval copper alloy hooked fastener, of Howsam type A3 or A5. The fastener is flat and comprises a lozenge shaped body with a rectangular panel and hook at one end. The other end has a diamond shaped panel leading to a flared or splayed incomplete attachment end. A copper alloy rivet is located through the centre of the attachment end. The rectangular panel only of the fastener is decorated with a perimeter of engraved zig-zags, divided internally by two further lines of zig zags. For type see Howsam 2016, p32ff.
