A medieval lead inkwell or ampulla. The body is rectangular in plan and also in section, and has an integral triangular loop on both sides near the top. The top of the object is incomplete. Both faces of the object are decorated at the top with a large moulded 'W' in relief, set between a moulded horizontal line above and below. Below this, on both sides, is a large privy mark comprising a vertical line with bar across the top; all three terminals at the top terminate with a moulded pellet. Treasure reference 2018 T257: a late medieval gold posy ring. The hoop is circular in plan and rectangular in section. The exterior is decorated with engraved springs of foliage; these are deeply cut into the hoop and in some areas traces of dark coloured enamel survive. The bezel is pyramidal with a recessed square in the centre that would have taken a setting.
