A copper alloy Medieval English jetton, dating from AD 1280 - 1400, type uncertain, with cross pattee on the reverse with a single pellet in at least two angles. There is a central punch visible on both faces. The legends and the obverse are illegible. It is 19.9mm diameter, 0.78mm thick and 1.2g.

A medieval copper alloy English jetton dating from about AD 1350 - 1400 of Mitchiner's groat type. Both the obverse and reverse have the same design. There is straight long linear cross with a cluster of five pellets in each quarter. Around this is a border of pellets, deliminated by beading. The jetton has damage to the edge in one quarter and has a brown patina. This type of jetton is described as a Groat type in Mitchiner (1988) Volume 1 and is illustrated on page 125, number 292. It is 21.5mm diameter, 0.9mm thick and weighs 1.37g.

A silver Medieval coin; a Scottish cut half penny of the Short Cross and Stars coinage (AD 1195 - 1249) of William I, phase B, bust 3 or 4 dating from AD 1205 - 1230. The reverse legend probably reads [HVE] WALTE[R O]. The coin is 17.8mm long, 8.2mm wide and 0.9mm thick. 0.58g. See Spink's Coins of Scotland, Ireland and the Islands (2003), page 14, number 5029. The coin appears to be comparable to number 21d on page 81 of Burns (1887, republished in 2012) The Coinage of Scotland. This is in Burns' Class IV and has the obverse legend LE REI WILT O.

Compare Mernick reference 6c.27.19. Mint uncertain. The jetton measures 20.3mm diameter, 0.9mm thick and 1.5g. It has a smooth green patina.

A Medieval Scottish silver coin; a cut half penny of William I (AD 1165 - 1214), Short Cross Phase B dating from AD 1205 - 1230. The moneyers were probably Hugh and Walter (HUE WALTER) and there is a grop of four pellets after the R of Walter. These pellets do not appears on any of the examples in Burns 1887, Volume 1 with reverse stars of six points as on this example, though figure 52, number 15 (page 79) maybe be the most similar. See also number 5029 on age 14 of Spink (2003) Coins of Scotland, ireland and the Islands. The coin is 18.9mm long, 9.7mm wide and 0.6mm thick. 0.66g.
