A Medieval copper-alloy zoomorphic buckle, dating to c.AD 1100 - 1300.  The copper alloy frame is oval. The remainder of the frame expands is irregular in  width as well as depth, it has with moulded decoration. This decoration consists of an oval frame, which is perforated with four holes, one of these retains a pin which is bent around the bar. Along one edge are two confronting quadrupeds cast in high relief. These animals, probably leopards or lions, are standing passant with their heads projecting out from the frame. A Medieval copper-alloy strap end, dating to AD 1300-1450. It consists of two of the sub-rectangular plates, held together by two rivets. Both the plates are sub-rectangular with the lower narrow end (the strap end) narrowing into a shallow rounded point, from the apex of which projects a rounded knop. The opposing end is a straight edge. Below this in each of the corners are two rivet holes securing cylindrical rivets.
