Copper alloy ring, with loop split opposite the bezel, has an empty mount on the bezel, which probably once contained enamel. The shoulders of the ring bear a decorative flowing tendril motif. On one side of the inner face of the loop there is a small incise inscription measuring c.10mm x c.1.5mm which appears to contain c.14 letters (undecipered).

A silver finger ring, iconographic in type, with an engraving of a female saint on the bezel. The ring is slightly chipped and damaged around the edges of its three-faceted bezel and the engraving is much worn, which makes identification of the saint difficult. It may represent the Virgin and Child since it is combined with engravings of six tears beneath sun-rays on each of the shoulders. The depiction of the saint on the central facet of the bezel is flanked by engraved foliate scrolls on the other facets. The back of the hoop is decorated with four diagonal bands.

A medieval gold ring which has suffered some damage. The bezel would originally have contained a stone, which is now lost. In addition, the hoop has become separated from the bezel on one side. A splinter of gold remains protruding from beneath the bezel and this may constitute a repair from before the ring was lost.

Fourteenth-century copper-alloy finger-ring with robust hoop, bezel and shoulder. The bezel of the ring has three settings, each with its own square base. These bases are geometrically aligned and stepped, with the central base being a fraction larger and higher than the two on each side. The gems in each setting (now lost) would have been sub-circular, and evidence of green adhesive is evident. The central base has a knop in each corner. Viewed showing the full loop of the ring there is evidence of horizontal incised lines on the shoulders of the ring, and vertical incised lines on th…

Twelfth-century Medieval copper alloy finger ring, gilded and has enamelled decoration on the bezel and shoulders, and moulded decoration on the shoulders. The enamelled bezel is divided into eight segments (of which one is missing), together with a central roundel (also missing). The colour of the segments alternate between green and dark blue, giving the impression of a blue cross pattee on a green background. The triangular enamelling on the shoulders appears to be black, but a broken area reveals it to be turquoise. A small irregular triangle of cloudy white material is set into e…
