A pierced penny of Edward IV, minted at Durham between 1465-1483. Obverse: Crowned bust of Edward IV facing outwards, legend around 'E[DWARD DI GRA REX AnGL]' Reverse:- A cross with pellets in all four groins. A letter B or D is present in the centre of the reverse with an extra pellet in two quarters. Legend reads as '[CIVI/]TA[S]/DV[nO]/LmI[E]'

A miss-struck penny of Richard II or Edward III minted between 1344-1399, possibly in London or Durham. Much of the detail is difficult to distinguish. No significant potion of the legend survives Obverse:- head of monarch facing out, remains of legend around. Reverse:- most detail obliterated, but traces of cross remain. Surviving section of legend features Roman 'N'.

A penny (Class 1a) of Richard II (1377-1399), minted between 1380-1389 in York. Richard II was eventually deposed by Henry of Bolingbroke, whom he had disinherited after exiling his father, and who would then go on to become Henry IV. This particular coin has much surface detail worn away, but outlines are still visible. The coin has sustained damage at some point and has cracked. Obverse:- Crowned bust of Richard II, cross on breast, enclosed within solid border. Legend around:- '+RICARD[VS R]EX A[NGL]IE' Reverse:- A long cross with three pellets in each groin.
