Silver double petard of Charles the Bold of Burgundy dating 1467-1477.The obverse has a squared shield of Burgundy with a rampant lion at the centre and the legend +KAROLVS DEI GRA DVX BVRG CO FLA translating to Charles, by the grace of God Duke of Burgundy and Count of Flanders.The reverse has ornate short cross fleury expanded in the centre to contain a fleur de lys and the legend +SIT NOmEN DOmINI BENEDICTVm, which translates to May the Name of the Lord be Blessed.
