The fragment comprises of one fragmentary arm only, with the circular sectioned arm projecting from the jaws of an incomplete zoomorphic moulding. Double-stranded niello-inlaid cross-hatched decoration survives at the terminal end of the arm, with an incomplete sub-rectangular attachment plate projecting from the arm, parallel to the length of the arm; one perforation survives. A Medieval copper allot composite strap end, probably dating to c. AD 1250-1450. The strap end is constructed from two sheets of copper alloy with a copper alloy sheet spacer sandwiched in between. It is tongue shaped in plan, with a three cusps at the attachment end and a knop projecting from the terminal, there is a single central copper alloy rivet at the attachment end.
