A medieval cast copper alloy harness pendant dating to the period c.AD 1300 - 1400. The harness pendant is in the shape of a 'heater shield' with a flat top and sides tapering to a point. The top edge has a centrally positioned suspension loop positioned at a ninety degree angle to the body of the pendant on a short rectangular neck. The loop retains traces of oxidised iron relating to the attachment to the horse breast-band. There are two Scottish coins: one of Alexander III's Second Coinage (c.1280-92), and one of John Baliol (c.1292-96). The coins date from between 1280 and 1310. The coins were recovered from an arable field, spread over an area of approximately 20 metres.
