An incomplete fragment originating from an iron rowel spur of Medieval to Post-Medieval date, c. 1300-1700. Only the circular-sectioned neck of the spur survives, with the six-pointed copper-alloy 'rowel' still preserved in-situ. The rest of the object, consisting the arms of the object, is broken away in old damage. Preserved completely corroded and in relatively poor condition, the spur survives to a length of 41.50mm, 10.66mm thick at its midpoint, and c. 30.34mm in width at the widest point of the rowel. An incomplete and heavily corroded iron rotary key dating to the Medieval period, c. 1270-1400. The exact form of the bow is uncertain, though the shank is rectangular in section and narrows above the projecting bit, the upper section of which is circular-sectioned and tapers to a rounded tip. The bit itself is heavily damaged and corroded, though its form probably consisted originally of three separate clefted bars.
