A complete copper alloy Pin of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1450-1700). The object is composed of a globular head which appears to be of composite form, due to a circumferential seam. From the underside of the head projects a tapering sub-square sectioned shaft which recurves and terminates in a blunted point. An incomplete lead alloy Button of Medieval date (AD 1300-1500). The object is circular, and slightly domed, with a flat back. The front has a central cross design in relief, created by four chevron shaped recesses. The arms of the cross terminate in a raised circular border. The back of the object retains a partial integral attachment loop on the reverse, cast as one with the button. There is a retained raised casting seam to either side of the attachment loop.
