An incomplete iron Horseshoe of Medieval date (AD 1150-1350). Clark's (1995) Type 2B, 'wavy-edged' horseshoe type. The object is composed of one half of its original form, with an old, abraded break. The retained portion has an inner raised ridge with three rectangular countersunk nail holes and a retained calkin at the lower end. Length: 93.75mm, Width: 57.25mm, Thickness: 10.08mm, Weight: 56.0g

A complete iron Sword Pommel of Medieval date (AD 1100-1400). The object is from a large sword and is sub-spherical and hollow. There is an ovate perforation running through its length, which would have housed the tang, and which would have had a securing 'end cap' terminal at the opposing end. An incomplete iron knife of late Medieval to Post-Medieval date (AD 1500-1700). The iron blade has a straight back, the edge curves from the knife tip (now missing) to the back where it narrows to an integral tapering tang projecting from the back of the blade. The tang is square in cross-section and the blade is V-shaped in cross-section. The blade is V-shaped in profile with portions missing due to breaks and areas of corrosion. The handle is missing. An incomplete iron Clark type 4 horseshoe of Medieval date (AD 1300-1400). The branches are equal in length and incline upwards at the heel. There is no evidence of thickening or calkins at the heel. The shoe has six countersunk square nail holes. One nail has been partially retained. The shoe in plan is flat and is probably a saddle shoe. The object is missing small portions of its heal. A complete iron Arrowhead of medieval date (AD 1200-1400). The arrowhead is a barbed and tanged form with a central, square section integral shaft, projecting from the proximal edge. The objects integral tapering tang, a triat usually seen in European arrowheads, unlike the English arrowheads which were usually socketed. Small barbed arrowheads could be used for hunting game, as they were designed to remain inside the body of the prey, but they were also firmly fixed into the arrow shaft so that it could be removed from the prey and reused.
