A fragment of a medieval to post-medieval copper-alloy vessel. The piece comprises a suspension loop with some of the attached wall. The object is a cast loop that has a rectangular section of vessel wall attached. There is a break along the lower edge of the wall section suggesting that the loop stood up from the vessel it was attached to. There are file marks on the suspension ring and also evidence on the underside for extreme wear on the underside, suggesting it was attached to something of great weight and suspended. This is the blade from a single handed longsword, tapering from the hilt towards the point. The sword has broken at the start of the tang resulting in the loss of the hilt assembly. There are two plates forming the main body of the strap end and a third zoomorphic decorative element mounted in the middle. A copper alloy medieval thimble of sewing ring type. It has hand drilled circular indentations of irregular size and depth, arranged in triangular panels set in alternating directions. Each panel is outlined with a neat tightly spaced line of indentations, and filled in with rather more irregularly set indentations. A complete, gold and gemstone pendant of Medieval date, AD.1200-1400. The pendant comprises a gold frame, lozenge shaped, with a suspension loop at the top.
