A worn enamelled copper-alloy heraldic horse harness pendant of Medieval date, c. AD 1270-1400. Description: The pendant is of quatrefoil / quatrelobed form with an angular knops between each lobe. Taking up much of the centre is a shield of arms displaying the royal arms of England consisting of three lions on a field of red (heraldically:Gules, three lions passant guardant). The shield is in the common 'heater' form with angular top corners. Decoration in the lobes is uncertain due to wear. At the apex of the pendant the suspension loop remains. A group of eight pottery coarse ware sherds of likely medieval date, four rim sherds, three body sherds and one base sherd. Fabric is rough and has a mix of subrounded-angular inclusions of small-medium white chalk/shells and small-large dark grey/black and brown grog. An incomplete cast copper-alloy Medieval strap fitting, c. 14th-15th centuries AD. The object consists of a central sub-hemispherical lobe, flanked on either side by a tapering arm, which a D-shaped in cross-section. A large complete D-shaped medieval or post-medieval buckle frame with moulded decoration. The buckle frame is roughly D shaped, with moulded decoraiton around the resting nook for the tongue. A cast complete copper-alloy medieval or post-medieval sewing ring. The outer surface is decorated with concentric rings of punched dimpling, at a slight angle to the ring of the thimble itself. Holmes (2004) suggests that sewing rings were in use from c.1450 and those with slightly angled bases, such as this one, tend to be of an earlier date up to c.1550. Measurements: 10.26mm in height, 22.58mm long, 11.50 wide, band is 1.39mm thic. 4.35g in weight.

Folded fragment of medieval or post medieval beaten sheet copper alloy thimble. The fragment is folded flat on itself without clear top or bottom edges. It is decorated with the usual drilled thiimble dimples as well as a large zigzag pattern of two sets of two parallel lines made of small dots. Surface has general green-turquoise patination, with occasional patches of dark grey brown metallic surface. Also some small patches on one edges of white metal plating from silvering or tinning Measurements: 15.02mm long, 13.9mm high, 2.2mm wide, sheet metal is 0.43mm thick. 0.92g in weight.

A medieval or post-medieval cast copper alloy button. The button is biconvex with circular seciton and a flat panel on the back where the suspension loop is attatched. The front and convex surface of the reverse are moslty silvery from either tinning or silvering with some patches of light and dark brown from dirt and iron oxidisaiton from deposition. A complete cast high lead/tin copper-alloy finger ring, probably dating to the Medieval period, between AD 1200 - 1500. The ring is a circular hoop with a thin band that is flanged d-shape in cross section. It is decorated on the inside and outside by a serries of transverse grroves. The outstide grooves are in four groups evenly spaced around the circumference. The ring has been plated in a now grey/black oxidised white metal which has flaked off along much of the outside circumference Measurments: 24.9mm in diameter, 3.86mm wide, 2.06mm thick. 2.67g in weight.
