Half a worn and cut medieval silver penny of uncertain ruler, likely of an Edward (I-IV) minted at Canterbury or less likely Chester. Dating broadly from c.1279-1470.
Obv.: [Facing bust], entirely worn away. Likely intentionally worn away. Legend.: Illegible. Rev.: Long cross dividing legend with pellets in each angle. Legend: CIVI/TAS/C_ _ /____. Coin is 'cut' roughly from 7 o'clock to 12 o'clock of the reverse, although it appears to have been snapped by hand after being flexed a number of times.
Measurements: 18.04mm long (original diameter), 11.34mm wide, 0.72mm thick and 0.66g.

An incomplete and worn Medieval silver farthing of Edward II (AD 1307-1327), dating to c.1314-17. North type 1070/2, class 13 (North 1991, 38), Withers type 31c (Withers 2005). Minted in London. Legend and bust clear on obverse where not damaged, reverse decipherable where not damaged. This coin is badly struck with substantial blank flan space.
Measurements: 12.73mm in diameter, 0.59mm thick and 0.34g in weight.
