A complete decorated two piece sheet copper-alloy Medieval strap-end dated c.1350-1450 AD. Description: The plate is sub-rectangular in plan, tapering towards the terminal end which finishes in a blunt point. The top plate has a rivet at each end riveting it to the back plate. There is a decorative border formed from two incised lines with two parralel short panels of decoration near the terminal. The strap-end has a good dark green patina leaving it a dark green in colour. Dimensions: Length 27.86mm, width 16mm, thickness 4.38mm and weight 3.72g.
