A cast one piece copper-alloy button, likely of 15th century date. Description: The button is discoidal and plano-convex with a chunky drilled shank eminating from the reverse. The front is flat and undecorrated. The reverse is convex leaving the button face D-shaped in cross-section. The shank has been finished and remains in a rectangular shape. The button is a dark grey-green colour. Measurements: 15mm long, 18mm in diameter (on the face, shank 10mm wide) and 10.3g in weight. The front is slightly concave with a central dot surrounded by two closely aligned concentric circles.The rever is quite convex. The button is a dark green colour. An incomplete slightly warped cast lead-alloy medieval button of Medieval date. Description: The button is cast in one piece and is domed with a flat back and drilled shank suspension loop, which is now incomplete. The suspension loop sits on clear casting seam. An incomplete copper-alloy cast one-piece button with integral drilled shank, of Medieval date c.15th century. Decription: The button would have orignally been discoidal, but is now highly abraded aroudn cirucmference and it is unclear what the orignal circumference would have been. It is decorated on the front with a centrally punched dot/hole around which are two concentric circle have been incised (2.34mm and 3.64mm away from the hole respectively). A medieval or post-medieval cast copper alloy button. The button is biconvex with circular seciton and a flat panel on the back where the suspension loop is attatched. The front and convex surface of the reverse are moslty silvery from either tinning or silvering with some patches of light and dark brown from dirt and iron oxidisaiton from deposition. The flat area around the suspension loop has typical copper-alloy green/turquoise patination.
