The type is broadly paralleld by Mitchiner (1988) on pages 179-181 but the exact design and legend are not included by him. DOR-865675 on this database appears to be of exactly the same obverse type as this but the reverse varies in the marks in the quarters and spandrels.

Variant on Mitchiner (1988, 237) no. 718 and Mernick and Algar (2001, 238) no.179. Unlike the common type which has two angled fleur de lis and a trefoil this example has three fleur de lis on the lower part of the shield below the three roses in chief. LVPL-039822 on this database is similar.

French Medieval copper-alloy stock jetton of the 'I / R' type struck probably for the Queen and her almonry and dating the 14th century. Mitchiner 1988:157 . ref: 367 This is one of the smaller examples from a series of jettons thought to be initially associated with the household of the French queen. The I / R possibly standing for 'Ieton de la Royne'. A number have been discovered by the River Thames with 14th century material (Mitchiner ibid). They are rare in Britain outside London with only one other on the database: WILT-08ED17. The edges are badly chipped.

A medieval late Tournai copper-alloy jetton of Shield of France modern type, ficticious legend + DVR DVR DVR [...]DRVMIRI, AD 1415-c. 1497. Not paralleled in Mitchiner (1988). The jetton is slightly dished with the obverse concave and reverse convex. It has been pierced in four places with small (1.4mm diameter) circular holes 3.0 to 4.7mm from the edge, each aligned roughly with one of the fluer de lis terminals of the revse cross so they are arranged in a square.

Medieval copper-alloy probably French jetton, a variant of the shield of France modern / triple stranded cross fleuretty type. nonsense legend, c. AD 1418-1437. Not paralleled in Mitchiner although closest to no. 524 (1988:192). The reverse design is unusual with unusually short arms to the cross, only a pellet in the centre and very thick triple cross bars at the end of each cross arm. The cross is also mostly within an inner circle rather than the usual quartelobe, this feature sugegsts it is of the very late French issues or another contemporary issuer (cf Mitchiner 1988:192).…
