A Medieval silver double-ended toilet instrument known as a spoon-probe, the shaft of which has barley-sugar twisting and is a little bent. The spoon end is tear-drop shaped, c.18mm long and widening and thickening from 3.02x2.17mm beyond the twisted shaft to 4.62x2.07mm at the rounded opposite end. Internally it measures 15.87mm in length and widens from 1.88mm to 3.37mm, with a max.depth of c.2mm. A squashed, but complete, Late Medieval gold iconographic finger ring with an inscription on the hoop. The bezel is rectangular and measures 12.04 x 6.48 x 1.29mm. It depicts a seated figure holding a sword to the right with a shield or wheel to the left. The figure wears oblong head-gear, perhaps a crown or top of veil. To either side of the head are keying marks, deeper and cruder than the neat engraving, possibly for an enamel inset. A Medieval (1200-1400) silver annular brooch, now a little squashed, and measuring 25.06x17.60mm. The diameter is 25.06mm (internal 15.42mm) and the brooch weighs 2.8g. The frame is plain, wide and flat, though slightly rounded on the upper face. It has a constriction for the pin, which is 20.73mm long, D-shaped in cross-section and turns upwards a little at the end. Probably 13th/ 14th century in date.

An incomplete medieval copper alloy seal matrix, probably dating to the 13th century. It is missing its handle (old break) and the die is missing a small part of the edge. The object measures 17.77mm in diameter and stands 6.86mm high. It weighs 5.03g. The seal has a circular die and the stump of the handle is hexagonal in cross-section. A Late Medieval or Early Post-Medieval (1400-1600) silver-gilt finger-ring. The hoop is slightly faceted to the outside surface with a cross saltire at the centre of each facet (8 in total). In between each cross is a double transverse groove. Surmounting the hoop is a roughly circular bezel decorated with raised pellets (eight around a central single pellet). The gilding is patchy, especially to the back of the hoop. The finger-ring measures 24.34x23.03mm (internal diameter 20.87mm) and weighs 2.85g.

A base silver finger-ring, a rather crude and simple type with rectangular bezel bordered by two pairs of engraved vertical lines. It could be Medieval (Beverley Nenk pers.comm.). Judy Rudoe does not recognise it as an obvious Post-Medieval type. The finger-ring is slightly squashed and measures 22.09x21.70mm (internal 19.95x20.44mm). It weighs 2.8g. The hoop is D-shaped in cross-section while the bezel is flat. The shoulders have V-shaped cut-outs to either side.
