A medieval horse harness pendant and suspension mount. Both elements are scallop-shaped and gilded on their convex front faces. Both have a centrally placed circular perforation. The pendant is suspended & still swings from a copper-alloy spindle held by a fold in the mount. Overall length 51mm, width 15mm. 13th cent.
