Medieval copper alloy, enamel and (once) gilded and silvered armorial shield-shaped horse harness pendant, measuring 48.92x29.21mm and weighing 15.45g. Almost all the enamel is missing and the loop (which is turned through 90°) is twisted and squashed. The shield itself is 36.02mm in length. It depicts the Arms of Hugh Despencer the Younger, born 1287 and died 1326, with the Blazon: Quarterly argent and gules fretty or with a label of three points, over all a bend sable. An incomplete medieval copper alloy and enamelled (and probably once gilded) heraldic 'heater' shield-shaped horse harness pendant, measuring 44.38x28.19x8.89mm and weighing 13.3g. An incomplete medieval (1260-1500) copper alloy heraldic shield shaped Harness Mount 'Chequy', missing one corner, all of its enamel and gilded or silvering decoration, and most of the integral attachment spike. It measures 37.50x28.71x3.85mm and weighs 11.02g. The mount is 2.13mm thick and decorated with 6 rows of alternating squares in a checkerboard patter. It is 33mm in length (including the loop, which is turned through 90°) and 25mm wide. It weighs 6.83g. Small copper alloy medieval heraldic harness pendant with traces of red enamel in situ. The loop is turned through 90° and the pendant 'shield' shaped. It depicts the Arms of England before 1340, three lions passant guardant on a red background. The pendant is rather worn and a little bent. No original patina remains. The shield measures 20x15.5, the entire length including the loop being 27.5mm. It weighs 2.78g. Nick Griffiths comments, "the enamel suggests a date between c.1270 and 1340".
