A Late Medieval (c. 1350-1500) copper-alloy book clasp of Howsam type A.8.4, measuring 37.57 x 12.31 x 6.82mm and weighing 5.5g. The book clasp is made of a single folded sheet of copper alloy, max.1.4mm thick. The folded end creates a loop 3.23mm wide and 7.62mm long. Directly behind the loop the strap-end is circular and to the upper face has a domed boss 6.82mm thick and 10.97mm in diameter. An incomplete Medieval (1200 - 1400) copper alloy oval buckle frame with ornate outside edge, missing its pin. It measures 18.31x25.13x4.49mm (internal 10.95x20.61mm) and weighs 3.6g. The bar is narrowed and offset with a rounded moulding at either end. The outside edge has a pair of raised ribs either side of the triangular notched lip at the centre. This is the thickest part of the frame. Egan & Pritchard (1991; p.73, fig.44) date oval buckle frames with ornate outside edges between 1200 and 1400.

It measures 28.02mm in length and 20.16mm in max.width (at the frame). It weighs 3.3g. The object comprises an oval frame with a notched lip on the outside edge, and a bar narrowed for the pin. A Medieval (1250-1450) copper alloy sheet metal strap-end, folded widthways. It measures 36.15x35.74x4.90mm and weighs 11.7g. The backplate is plain with a rivet hole (c.1.6mm diameter) in each corner at the open end. The front plate has a crenellated edge, with a cut-out crescent at the centre and a cut-out V to either side. The rivet hole is below the centre of the V. one rivet survives intact. Comparative examples in Egan and Pritchard (1991) date from the late 13th to the middle of the fifteenth century. Cf nos.578 to 587.

An incomplete and squashed Medieval (1350-1450) copper alloy double oval buckle frame, missing its pin and almost one loop of the frame. It measures 28.16x24.30mm (internal surviving loop c.10.67x18.31mm) and weighs 2.8g. Examples of this type of buckle frame from London (Egan and Pritchard 1991 nos.331 to 342) date from the second half of the fourteenth to the second half of the fifteenth century, but as the form persists a later date cannot be ruled out.

A Medieval to Early Post-Medieval (1150-1700) copper alloy casket key with an open trefoil-shaped bow, measuring 36.29mm in length and weighing 2.1g. The stem is flat and oval in cross-section, measuring 3.33x2.69mm below the double-rib collared bow. The bow measures 15.49x14.53mm (internal 12.03x12.50mm) and has a small square notch at its base, between the lower two lobes. The bit is rectangular, measuring 4.47x4.03x1.91mm. A Medieval and probably Anglo-Gallic Jetton of Edward II, measuring 18-19mm in diameter, 0.8mm in thickness and weighing 1.40g. The jetton has a die axis of 6 and some wear. Obverse: Heater shield of three lions passant (England) within three concentric arcs of small pellets Reverse: Dimidiated fleur-de-lis and castle on field of pellets Date: 2nd half 13th century Reference: Salisbury Museum has another example of this jetton see SMMC 3, 217 no.4 . The fleur de lis and castle device is thought to be a badge of Poitou, see Mitchiner p.153 and Barnard pl. IV, no.5.

A Medieval (1270-1350) robust cast copper alloy mirror case, complete with the (loose) broken glass mirror inside. It measures 42.87mm in length, 31.40mm in diameter/ width and 8.39mm thick. Weighs 15.06g. Both halves of the mirror case are slightly domed to the outside surface, which beneath the concretion on one of the sides, has a smooth and shiny dark patina. A worn and badly corroding Medieval (1270-1450) copper-alloy composite strap-end with forked spacer and acorn knop terminal. It is 34.04mm long, 29.71mm wide and up to 6.07mm thick; it weighs 8.12g. The front and back sheet plates are in extremely fragile condition and are held together with two rivets (c.2mm diameter) at the strap-end's 'open' end, corroded in place and 4.48mm apart. A Medieval (1200-1450) copper alloy single-loop buckle frame, complete with pin. It measures 13.54x18.85mm (internal 9.02x15.07mm) and weighs 1.5g. Almost all original patina has been lost. The frame is D-shaped with an expanded outside edge, max.6.28mm wide, sloping outwards and downwards. The axis bar is narrowed with a knopped moulding at either end. The pin is sheet copper alloy, rolled around the axis bar and narrowing to a point. It is 10.71mm long.

A Late Medieval (1400-1500) sheet copper-alloy end-cap from a scale or whittle-tang knife. It measures 30.39x14.24x1.40mm and weighs 3.02g. In profile the object is arched into a U-shape. The object is sub-oval in shape with a protrusion at one narrow end, and a probable worn break at the other (and missing its protrusion). Both front and back surfaces carry a light coloured concretion, obscuring any detail. At the centre is a rectangular slot (c.4x3mm), now filled with iron corrosion.
