A fragment of a possible Medieval (1100-1500) zoomorphic strap-end (possibly), measuring 25.83x8.22x7.22mm and weighing 7.01g. The object is oval in cross-section at the (old) break (max width and thickness) and narrows at the end to 5.21x3.70mm. This end resembles a worn snout with brow ridge behind. It narrows in thickness from one side only to give a slope between nose and brow ridge. It is uncertain what this object would have been part of, although the zoomorphic style suggests a Medieval date.
