Medieval silver seal matrix, hexagonally faceted conical handle, broken, terminal missing, four small punched dots near top edge of reverse. Circular die, 18 mm diameter. Central device is a single-masted ship with rigging and furled sail, the cross at the beginning of the inscription engraved so that it appears to be flying from the top of the ship's mast. The ship sits on a wavy sea. Medieval copper-alloy pointed-oval seal matrix, 30 x 18mm. Flat with pierced lug on reverse, friable, harder corrosion in part of the legend and central motif. The central motif is an eagle displayed; the inscription reads + CRAS DACOR NON OIC. 14th century. Malcolm Jones has commented that this inscription is presumably the same as that found on brooch SUR-690FCC, which reads CRAS DABO NON HODIE.
