Fragment of copper-alloy page holder, trapezoidal plate (17 x 17mm) with tapering broken projection from short ?upper side (total surviving length (at least) 27mm), faint traces of pecked scallop-like decoration on one face.
A similar page holder was found in a 13th-century context at Winchester (Biddle 1990, 756, no. 2326A).

Fragment of a medieval copper alloy processional cross, comprising a heavily cast and crudely engraved robed figurine of the Virgin, standing on a rectangular-sectioned flaring plinth with ribbed mouldings, and with a fragment of the flat-sectioned supporting arm at the base. Incised lines define the the covering of the head, and the eyes, nose and mouth. Deeper grooves accentuate the arms and hand clasped to the breast, the folds of the robe and the feet. MED Fragment of swivel from leash (at least 21 x 23mm), broken, worn and corroded remains of two D-shaped loops, surviving ends of curving sections ending in stylised animal head with circular boss held between two snouts. One boss has an integral rivet that is inserted into a socket on the other boss and both bosses have traces of incised decoration. 12th century.
