Fragment of copper alloy medieval composite strap-end, consisting of the incomplete forked spacer only. It is of the collared acorn-type knop type and both arms of the spacer are incomplete, one is almost entirely missing. The knop is rather flat in section. The incomplete spacer measures 43.1mm in incomplete length and 20.1mm in width. The knop is 14.6mm long, max 8.4.mm wide and max 6mm thick. It weighs 5.98g. Copmposite strap-ends with forked spacers from London date to between the late 13th century and middle of the 15th century (Egan 1991).
