A worn and clipped medieval silver penny of Henry VI (1422-61), probably leaf-pellet issue (1445-54; North 1511), mint: Durham. Ref: North 1991: 80. The coin is heavily clipped removing virtually all of the inscription on both sides and no full letters remain. The coin is also slightly bent, although it is impossible to ascertain whether this was pre- or post-depositional.
