An incomplete cast lead or lead alloy pilgrims ampulla broken into two non-conjoining parts dating from the medieval period; late 13th - late 15th century (1250-1500). The lower section of the flask and a small separate section of the neck of the vessel survive. The lower part has a rounded convex base that tapers slightly to form a waste at the mid point. It is at this point the flask is broken and the surface is patinated suggesting the damage is relatively old. The front face of the ampulla is decorated with cast design possibly a square topped heraldic shield which is filled with …

A complete but heavily abraded and corroded cast lead or lead alloy spindle whorl of Medieval to Post Medieval date (1150 - 1650 AD), most probably Medieval (AD12300 -1600). The spindle whorl was originally broadly circular in plan and bi-convex in cross section. A central hole is present which has a diameter of approximately 11mm in diameter, Both faces of the whorl are decorated - although one face is poorly preserved. The overall design seems to consist of radiating lines which intersect a circumferential ring creating a crude spiderweb patten. A series of cast pellets are present …

On the upper point is a broken integral cast suspension loop - the upper part has been lost - originally it would have been circular in plan and oval in cross section. The body of the weight has a large central rib which extends from the upper edge to the base and a thickened exterior rib whi…
