An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 - 1400. Meols Type 10. The buckle is a single looped oval with a narrowed and offset bar and ornate outer edge. Two prominent knops flank two smaller knops with raised collars where they join. The central recesses would have acted as a rest for the pin. The pin no longer remains. The metal has a mid-green patina and is in fair condition. The buckle is 21.5mm long, 24.7mm wide, 3.7mm thick and weighs 2.9g. A complete copper-alloy strap end of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. The object comprises two heater shield shaped plates joined together at the lower pointed terminal. The opposite end is open, though joined with a central rivet. The sides of the plates are broadly parallel. The upper surface of one plate is decorated with a shallowly incised triangle flanked by pellets. The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The mount comprises a rectangular strip of metal, broken at either end, and displaying a repaired fold at the centre. An incomplete copper-alloy Romanesque style buckle of medieval date.c.AD 1150 – 1250. The buckle is D-shaped with a steeply angled outer curved edge which tapers to either end, narrowing to rounded knops. The knops are worn with breaks to the outer edges from which the now missing bar would have extended.  The front of the curved edge is decorated with three-dimensional zoomorphic mouldings, possible representing winged creatures such as wyverns.
