An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1200 -1500.
The plate comprises a rectangular sheet of metal folded transversely to create an upper and lower plate. The lower plate is slightly narrower than the upper and a small rectangular cut out for the pin is present at the folded end. The remains of a bar are retained within the plates, terminating in worn breaks to either end.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 20.52mm long, 19.12mm wide, and weighs 4.6g.

An incomplete copper-alloy buckle of medieval date, c.AD 1250 -1500. Meols Type 2.
The buckle is a single looped D-shape with a narrowed and recessed strap bar. A lobed knop extends from either end of the bar. A rectangular sectioned pin remains fitted around the bar by an open loop.

A complete copper-alloy thimble of medieval date, c.AD 1300 - 1500. The thimble has an ovate base due to distortion and slightly sloping sides which curve towards the top where they form the crown, creating a dome. A series of irregular spiralling pits extend from the crown towards the base. A faint circumferential line is present just about the lower edge.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The thimble is 15.9mm in height, 20.71mm in diameter, 1.1mm thick and weighs 2.92g.

An incomplete copper-alloy rotary key of medieval date, c.AD 1150 - 1450. Probably London type VI.
The stem of the key is circular with worn breaks to either end and appears undecorated. An integral transverse bit projects from one edge of the stem.
The bit is sub-rectangular with single sub-rectangular clefts to two edges and a cruciform cleft to the third other edge.
The metal has a dark green/brown patina and is worn. The key is 56.74mm long, 24.65mm wide, the stem is 8.16mm in diameter. The key weighs 24.22g.

An incomplete copper-alloy spur buckle of medieval date, c. AD 1200 - 1400. The frame would have been sub-rectangular though roughly half is now lost to worn breaks. An integral plate extends from the surviving complete side of the frame. A bulbous swelling is present at the junction between the frame and plate through which is a perforation which would likely have held the pin. A complete lead-alloy trade weight of medieval to post-medieval date, c.AD 1380 - 1600. The weight is shield shaped with a raised moulded design featuring a large fleur-de-lis on the upper surface. The reverse is flat and undecorated.
The metal has a mid-white/brown patina and is worn. The weight is 43.4mm long, 33.1mm wide, 8.3mm thick and weighs 79g. With a mass of 79g (2.8oz imperial) this was probably intended to be an 8oz weight in the avoirdupois system with 16oz in the pound.

A complete copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The object is a double looped annular buckle with bevelled sides. An ovate sectioned triangular pin remains looped around the bar and one loop from a separate plate is also present around the bar.
The metal has a mid-green patina and is worn. The buckle is 24.8mm in diameter, 5.4mm thick and weighs 5.3g.
A similar example is illustrated in Whitehead, p.45, no.254 and is dated to circa AD 1350 - 1650.

A complete lead spindle whorl of medieval to post-medieval date. The spindle whorl is bi-conical with a central perforation running through it. Both surfaces are decorated with irregularly spaced and orientated raised lines with pellets within the resulting cells.
The metal is a mid-yellowish-grey colour and is worn. The spindle whorl is 29.9mm in diameter, 10mm thick and weighs 32.3g. The perforation is 9.9mm in diameter.

An incomplete copper alloy buckle of medieval date. The buckle is a double looped rectangle with a drilled frame for a separate spindle. The front loop is notched for the pin and decorated with a transverse groove. The sides are flanged to accommodate the spindle around which a wide pin loop is fitted with an integral triangular pin. An integral curved locking arm projects from one end of the spindle and terminates in a worn break.
The metal has a dark reddish-brown patina and is worn. The buckle is 28.3mm long, 31.1mm wide (including arm), 6.1mm thick and weighs 9.3g.
