A complete silver Medieval coin: double patard of Charles The Bold, Duke of Burgundy AD 1467-1477. Mintmark is a lion rampant in the centre of obverse shield, and the coin may have been minted in Flanders. The reverse design is a cross fleuretty with diamond-shape at centre containing a fleur-de-lis. The legends are abbreviated and read as KAR[OLVS]:DEI:GRA:DVX:BVR[G CO:]FLA the reverse reads SIT:[NOME]N:DOMINI:BENEDICTV[M] (translating as 'May the Name of the Lord be Blessed') (Taken from BERK-0D943E).
