The spindle whorl is sub circular in shape, and lentoid in section. Decoration detail on the upper and lower faces consists of irregularly placed chevrons pointing outwards, forming a rough star design. The points do not line up at the middle. The harness pendant is of the 'heater' shield shape, with a flat top and two inward curving sides to a point beneath. A suspension loop is set at right angles at the centre point along the flat top. The suspension loop has an internal diameter of 1.8 mm. The front of the harness pendant has been decorated with enamel. The chape is incomplete, with only the front plate surviving. This plate is also slightly damaged. The chape is sub-oval in plan with a rounded front and a dished reverse for the blade. The chape terminates in a knop and is crenellated at the top, at the attachment end. It has an openwork trefoil in the centre. A complete copper alloy book mount of Howsam type B.1.4, dating to c.1150 - c.1200.
The object is lozenge-shaped and has a C-shaped cross-section. There is a flat circular knop at each of the four points; these each have a circular perforation through them (internal diameter 3.0 mm). The edge of each side flares out to meet its neighbour at the centre, forming a elongated V-shaped edge.

The buckle has an oval frame with a small knop at the outer edge. It has an integral forked spacer that has rounded pointed prongs. Both prongs are incomplete. The reverse face of the buckle is flat and undecorated.
The length of the frame measures 29.7 mm, the width of the frame is 24.0 mm, the maximum thickness of the frame is 2.9 mm. the buckle weighs: 3.5 grams.

An incomplete copper alloy single loop spur buckle with an integral plate of medieval dating (c.AD 1250-1400).
The head of the buckle has an oval frame leading to the body which is slightly concave and tapers to a point. There are two rivet holes below the loop which have been filled and are intersected by a horizontal ridge. Iron corrosion products obscure the holes and part of the loop. The plate is incomplete, broken about at the midway point. The reverse of the buckle is undecorated and the pin is missing.
