A Medieval to Post-Medieval pewter button weighing 3.30g. The body of the button is circular in shape with a domed front and flat reverse. The body has a diameter of 12.0mm and depth of 4.9mm. The front of the body has a raised pellet at the centre, 1.7mm in diameter surrounded by a spoked wheel design in relief. Across the centre of the reverse surface of the body is a casting line. A complete Medieval copper-alloy seal matrix. The matrix face is oval in shape measuring length 24.1mm x width 19.6mm. The flat face is filled by a central motif surrounded by a circumferential legend which is bordered above and below by a line of closely set pellets forming an oval. A Medieval moulded bifacial lead token dating from the 13th to 15th centuries AD. This token weighs 6.54g, has a diameter of 20.6mm and maximum thickness of 3.3mm. The design on both sides of the artefact are formed in relief. One side shows a star formed of four lines, which all intersect at the mid-point. The other motif is uncertain but probably shows an arched crown. It is quite common for this type of token to have crudely depicted motifs. See Fletcher, E., 2003. A Medieval gold stirrup-shaped finger-ring with remains of a stone setting. The band has a slight D-shaped cross-section the convex inner surface of the band being a little flatter than the convex curve of the outer surface.
