A Medieval Irish silver cut halfpenny of Henry III, AD 1216-1272. Voided long cross coinage dates from AD 1247-1279. This coin dates from AD 1251, when dies were sent from London to Dublin, through to AD 1254 when the mint was closed. The obverse shows a forward facing crowned bust, cinquefoil to the right of the bust, with sceptre in triangular field. The obverse legend reads [HEN]RI./CVS R/E[X III]. A Medieval silver voided long cross cut half-penny (AD 1247-1279), Irish issue, probably of Henry III, AD 1216-1272, dating from between AD1247-1254. Mint is Dublin. Obverse legend reads [.../...]S RE/X[...]. 'REX' is possibly followed by 'ANG' or 'III' lower end of lettering just visible but illegible. Obverse shows forward facing crowned bust, and hand holding sceptre, within a triangle. Reverse legend reads DAV/[I ON/ DIV]ELI. Reverse shows a voided long cross with three pellets per quarter. Die axis is 3 o'clock. Weight is 0.63g, diameter is 18.2mm, thickness 0.8mm.

An Irish Medieval silver cut halfpenny of Henry III (1216-72); long cross type (S 6235/ S 6243A); mint: Dublin; Moneyer: Davi; date: 1251-4. The coin has been doublestruck. Silver medieval penny, probably Edward IV, mint: Dublin (possibly Spink 6373), minted c. ?1473-?78. The coin has been heavily clipped and none of the outer circle (inscription and initial mark) survives. The coin is slightly bent however the condition of wear on the coin is very good.
