Obverse shows a crown with unclear decoration across the body and cross-hatched or stippled effect interior at base. Obverse legend reads: + AVE [MA]RIA GRASIA:PLENA . Reverse shows a single stranded arcuate cross fleuretty with single six-petalled rosette at centre and in each angle, no surrounding tressure or border. An extremely worn copper-alloy numismatic artefact of Medieval to Post-Medieval date. This is probably a Medieval Continental jetton. Obverse and obverse legend is illegible although the central field seems to have been separated from the legend by a circular border line. A copper-alloy French late Medieval jetton dating to the 15th and probably later 15th century AD. This is probably a piedfort given its weight and thickness of flan. Obverse shows a Shield of France Ancient probably bearing four lis arranged 3-1 (the middle upper lis being smaller, faint and unclear if indeed present, the other three lis, 2-1, being clearly decernable). A Medieval copper-alloy English jetton struck during the reign of Edward I (1272-1307) of bust/key type (Mitchener 1988, nos. 111-113). It dates to 1302-1307 based on the obverse die using the bust of Class 10 pennies. Obverse: sterling bust (class 10) within a pellet circle. The border space shows a simple repeating pellet design.
