A complete, cast, copper-alloy bridle-bit of possible iron age to Roman date (c.BC 300 - AD 200). The object is comprised of two interlocking bridle bits. Each bridle bit is made up of an elongated central cylindrical bar with two projecting integral loops on each end. One of the loops where the bridle bits interlock is damaged, having a linear incision through it at its apex, however, it has not damaged the integrity of the loop. A copper alloy bridle bit, possibly dating to the late Iron Age to the Roman period (circa 100BC to 200AD). The object consists of two bars placed parallel with a central moulded collar which has been worn and thus less prominent. On each end of the bit, one bar has broken off and the other continues a short distance, curving slightly outwards before also ending in a break. The object is sub-ovate in form, with upturned rounded terminals, a convex upper surface with two circular knops, one on either side of the upper frame. Gold possible coin. A small plano-convex disc, thickest on one side, featureless and worn on its convex side but retaining part of an image on the flat side: a small seated figure with right hand raised. The figure is similar to the Fallen Horseman on later Roman nummi of AD355-361 (Reece period 18). Incomplete Iron Age bow brooch, the pin and almost all of the catchplate missing, the lowest extent part of the flat-sectioned bow distorted. The chord of the four-coil spring (now in two pieces, a recent break) is external, i.e it transverses in front of the coils. A knurled median groove extends down the bow from the start of the spring to a pair of transverse grooves immediately baove the catchplate. Extant length 44mm. The spring arrangement is the same as that of Hattatt 2000, fig. 148, no 732, a La Tène II brooch, while the form of the bow is typical of La Tène III. 1st century BC.

A copper alloy ingot. It is basically rectangular in shape but with rounded ends and a waisted centre. It is flat on the bottom and domed on the top. The base has a series of vertical lines moulded into it which may be a relic of the moulding process. It has an even brown patina with little corrosion or damage. It is difficult to date this type of object, a wide date range has been allocated but it may be relatively recent in date.  Dimensions: 78mm long, 20mm wide and 12mm deep approximately.
