A slightly corroded late Iron Age Bronze unit. The level of corrosion on the obverse makes exact identification difficult but this is tentatively identified as an 'Uncertain Northern Bronze type', British Museum no. 2450-2460 (R. Hobbs; 1996; pp. 147); Van Arsdell type 1615-1 (1989; pp. 351). It measures 12.6mm in diameter, 1.2mm thick and weighs 0.79g.

A copper-alloy La Tène III type brooch of late Iron Age to early Roman date (see R. Hattatt; 1987; pp. 21). The brooch has been made in one piece. The head consists of four coils of spring and an internal chord. One of these coils would have extended into the now-missing pin. The central spring coil extends downwards into the bow, which has flat surfaces, increases to a maximum width of 8.2mm, before tapering towards the foot. The upper surface is decorated with two incised vertical lines, which divide the surface of the bow into three roughly equal strips. The brooch appears to be…

A contemporary copy of an Early Uninscribed gold Stater of late Iron Age date. No exact parallel could be found for this coin. The reverse design suggests that it is an amalgam of elements copied from genuine Staters of southern England, in particular the 'L' to 'QC' types (see R. Hobbs; 1996; pp. 60-73). The coin has a copper-alloy core and a gilt surface. The flan is oval in plan and plano-convex. It measures 18.5mm in diameter, 1.7mm thick and weighs 2.89g.

A copper-alloy centre-looped cosmetic mortar of Late Iron Age to early Roman date. The object has a shallow groove which extends almost the entire length of the upper surface. The suspension loop, which is located at the centre of the underside, is incomplete. The piece measures 52.8mm long, 6.7mm thick and 16.8mm high. The weight is 15g. At present, there is no reliable typological sequence for the development of this category of artefact but most appear to belong to the 1st and 2nd centuries AD (R. Jackson; 1985; pp. 175).
