Given the existence of the first coin from the site, the second coin was considered to be potential Treasure and reported to the Finds Liaison Officer for Wiltshire on 4th December 2008. Both coins were brought to the British Museum for examination in December 2008. As a single find at the time of discovery, the first coin cannot be considered to be Treasure under the Treasure Act of 1996.

An Iron Age coin; a cast copper alloy broken potin of Flat linear type, Class I, probably angular bull type. The coin dates from 85 BC - 50 BC. The fragment is 16.2mm long, 11.5mm wide and 1.1mm thick. It weighs 0.69g. It shows Apollo's head facing left on the obverse, and a charging bull on the reverse. For reference see BMC Hobbs number 670ff; Rudd 171.
