A silver coin dating from the Iron Age: an uninscribed silver unit of the North Eastern Corieltavi struck in the mid to late first century BCE, about 68-1 BCE. The coin is of the Proto Boar group, With Spear Type, NE5-6, ABC 1779. Boar right, with curly tail and 'spear' in shoulder, large solar rosette above, pellet in ring behind, and with subsidiary elements above and below the boar's head. There is no S or reversed-S shape below the boar.
Horse left, with braided tail, large pelletal sun above; pellet in ring each side of the sun, and below horse.

It is likely to belong in the Cantiaci and related series, probably similar to ABC nos. 258, 288 or alternatively nos. 2312-2318.
