An Iron Age copper-alloy unit of Tasciovanus dating to circa 15 to 10BC. (Van Arsdell type 1808-1)
Obverse shows geometric pattern consisting of large pellet in centre and geometric pattern forming eight pointed star. VERLAMIO in between points although only the V is legible.
Reverse shows bull left with tail curling over back. Two pellets survive to right of bull.
The unit is 13.4mm in diameter and weighs 1.5g.

An Iron Age silver unit of Tasciovanus (25BC -AD10). It is of the Pegasus Star type. The obverse depicts a panel containing TASC, on a vertical wreath. The reverse shows a Pegasus, galloping left. Van Ardell no. 1798; ABC no. 2637.

Gold quarter stater from the Catuvellauni tribe, 'Tasciovanos Quatrefoil' type, dating c.25BC - AD10. Obverse shows alternating four ears of corn and four tear drops surrounding two back to back crescent moons. The whole design is slightly off centre. The reverse shows a central horse facing right with a series of geometric shapes surrounding it, including two pellets either side of the horses head and a collection of three teardrops by its tail.
This type of coin is recorded in ABC and noted by the author as extremely rare (Rudd, p.129, no.2583).
