A cast copper alloy object, 37.7mm in length, possibly an Iron Age or early Romano British strap fitting or belt/strap slide. The object has a convex plate, which is ridged and facetted and which expands slightly towards one end. There are triangular projections at either end; the one at the wider end is more clearly defined. The object is possibly unfinished or mis-cast, as suggested by the crude finish and unclear form. The reverse is concave with an integrally cast loop, broadly trapezoidal in shape.
