A worn copper alloy object, 22.2mm in length, which has been folded in on itself around a lump of ferrous concretion, possibly the remnants of a fitting, on its convex reverse. The exterior surface is smooth and worn, with a single projecting triangular knop at one end, a moulded ridge across the other and a projecting lobe to one side. Possibly an Iron Age mount, perhaps originally in the form of a stylised human face (although the folded and worn condition now makes it difficult to discern) and from a harness fitting or vessel. Circa 1st century BC.
