Fragment of late Iron Age copper-alloy D-shaped terret, now very corroded but perhaps originally enamelled. It has a sub-circular or slightly oval upright collar terminal 13.7mm wide, 12.1mm tall and 4.8mm thick. From one side of this projects a triangular-section upper ring, with a flat inner and an angled outer. On the other side of the collar, at its base, is a stub of the attachment bar which shows that this was rectangular-section, 6.5 x 3.4mm, and set vertically. An incomplete copper alloy transverse wing terret dating to the Iron Age (c.100 cal BC - AD 100). About one third of the ring survives. The surviving fragment is made up of a circular cross sectioned bar bent into a curve that would have originally being circular or D-shaped in Plan. There are two surviving prominent mouldings, one placed just after a break, another at the apex of the surviving curve and traces of a moulding at the second transverse break. Section of a copper alloy knobbed terret ring of probable later Iron Age or early Roman dating. It would be D shaped in plan when complete, what survives here is part of the base and a section of one side. The base is sub-rectangular in section, and is divided by a circular collar protruding from the ring, which has suffered some damage on one side. This has a central line moulded into it. Plain circular collars are present to either side of the skirt from which the main ring extends. It is made up of a stout oval cross section ring, now a little distorted, integral to a collar and short neck with a flange below - the skirt -  which flares outwards and down, partly covering an oval loop on the underside.
