Iron Age La Tene III brooch. The brooch is formed of a single piece of copper alloy, twisted to form a bilateral spring with internal chord. The brooch is complete, with both the pin and catchplate surviving in good condition. The bow is arched, with the foot stepped back slightly. A triangular catchplate extends down the entire length of the reverse of the foot. The original record descriped the bow as "?parallel sided", presumably meaning that the bow was rectangular in plan. The brooch is approximately 57mm long.

Iron Age La Tene III one-piece bow brooch. The wide, flat bow is an elongated leaf-shape with a rectangular cross section. The coiled spring has a suqare cross section. Only two turns of the spring survive, and the pin is missing. The foot of the brooch bends slightly backwards, with the solid triangular catchplate extending along the length. The upper surface of the bow is decorated with an incised design in the form of a wavy line.
