A complete Iron Age hammered/struck copper alloy Unit of RUES (Eastern region), c. AD 1-10. BMC 1693-7; Rudd ABC 2757; cf Spink, Coins of England, 273. Obverse description :- Letters RVIIS on a tablet in centre of coin, a small ringlet above and below this.Die offstruck slightly towards 2 o'clock. Reverse description :- Griffin walking left with curved tail;below, triangular group of three pellets. Die offstruck towards 9 o'clock. Coin detail in good condition with a green patina ,measures 15.2mm diameter, 1.5mm thickness, and weighs 2.2g.

Reverse shows forward facing eagle, head turned to left. Weight is 2.35g, diameter is 15.51mm, thickness is 3.07mm.
