The bow has a flat cross sectional profile and is triangular or trapezoidal in shape, expanding to a maximum width of 11mm at the lower end before tapering sharply towards the foot which has broken off. The bow is decorated with a flanking pair of tapering incised lines along the middle.

A complete Iron Age copper alloy ring-headed hair pin of the ‘swan neck type’, dating circa 550 BC to 50 BC. The head is composed of an annular loop, D-shaped in cross section, which has been rolled forward to create a closed loop. It is D-shaped, comprised of a subrectangular basal strap bar flanked by lentoid shaped collars.
