A body sherd of a ceramic vessel of possibly Iron Age to Roman date (c. 800 BC - AD 400).
The fragment is sub-triangular in plan, tapering from 28.41mm wide at the top to a rough point whilst expanding from 12.59mm thick near the top to 14.22mm thick at the bottom break. The sherd has a dark red interior surface, margins, and core whilst having a greyish brown exterior surface. The fragment has a sandy texture. There is evidence of sparse organic inclusions, sparse, coarse calciferous inclusions, quartz inclusions, and dark grey inclusions. It is possibly a fragment of sandy…

A body sherd of a ceramic vessel of likely Iron Age to Roman date (c. 800 BC - AD 400).
The sherd is roughly trapezoidal in plan, with a width of around 57.53mm near the top and expanding to 61.84mm wide towards the bottom. The object changes from being 78.01mm long on the left hand side to 95.94mm long on the right hand side. The thickness of the sherd changes from 14.77mm thick near the top to 19.75mm near the bottom. The exterior surface is decorated with five oblique grooves at the top, with four being more prominent. The fabr…

A body sherd from a ceramic vessel of Iron Age to Roman date (c. 500 BC - AD 100).
The sherd is shaped like an irregular pentagon in plan. The sherd is 31.71mm wide at the very top, expanding to 37.72mm wide towards the centre. This expansion is mainly due to the right hand side of the sherd widening, whilst the left hand side slants inwards at an angle, causing this initial section of the sherd to have a parallelogram like shape. The sherd narrows slightly to 35.48mm wide, before tapering to a rounded point at the bottom, though with a greater degree of tapering on the left hand side…

A body sherd of a ceramic vessel of likely Bronze Age to Iron Age date (c. 2500 BC - AD 43).
The sherd has a roughly trapezoidal shape, starting at 76.06mm wide and 14.17mm thick near the top and tapering to 47.76mm wide and 10.74mm thick towards the bottom. The fabric is relatively soft, has a rough feel, and is a bit crumbly. The exterior surface is a pale greyish orange colour whilst the interior surface is more of a reddish brown. The core varies between grey to more dark grey or black, and there are abundant, coarse calciferous inclusions, likely of an organic type. There ar…

Two possibly ceramic rim sherds and a body sherd from a vessel, potentially from Iron Age in date. All three appear to be from the same vessel. There are signs of older breakages along the surfaces of the fragments.
The core is black, and the surfaces are grey.
The fabric has a rough feel and contains abundant quartz inclusions and abundant white calcareous inclusions (>1.00mm in length).
The sherds consist of a roughly trapezium shaped sherd (1), a sherd shaped roughly like a parallelogram (2), and a smaller roughly rectangular sherd (3). The diameters are outlined bel…

A ceramic body sherd from a vessel, potentially Iron Age in date. The sherd is roughly shaped like an irregular hexagon and seems to have been handmade due to the rough, uneven nature of the surface. Along the external surface, there is an incision 21.78mm long going from left to right.
The sherd starts off 8.65mm thick at the top, before a sudden drop off along a diagonal line on the interior surface of the sherd. The diagonal line begins around 25.35mm down on the right-hand side and continues to 29.75mm down on the left-hand side. The thickness then drops to 7.82mm and gradual…

A ceramic rim sherd from a vessel, likely Iron Age in date. The sherd is roughly triangular in shape and seems to have been handmade due to the rough nature of the surface.
The sherd is 8.26mm thick at the top, and gradually curves outwards and thickens to 10.08mm nearer the bottom.
The core ranges largely from dark grey to black, whilst the margin is largely dark grey or orange. The surfaces are largely brown with some bits of black.
The fabric seems to include frequent mica inclusions on the external surface, whilst there are moderate inclusions of mica in the core.

A ceramic body sherd from a vessel. It has a triangular shape.
The core and interior surface are brown whilst the exterior surface is predominantly black.
The fabric includes sparse, calcareous material and sparse, clay pellets, both of which are <1mm in size.
The interior surface seems relatively rougher compared to the exterior surface, which would suggest that it could be hand made. Potentially from the Iron Age.

An irregular pentagonal carination sherd of what is likely part of an Iron Age vessel. Whilst the sherd largely curves inward gradually, it starts to curve outward toward the bottom quite sharply. The fabric is coarse and appears to contain a moderate density of angular inclusions of crushed limestone. The exterior is smooth, whilst the interior is quite rough. The colour is largely a pale, reddish-brown but there are some grey and black sections.

A complete copper alloy vessel mount dating to the Late Iron Age to Early Roman period (c. 50 BC - AD 150). The mount is duck-shaped in form with its head positioned horizontally, facing outwards. The surface of the mount is damaged, however slight moulded feather details are apparent. The mount retains a rounded suspension hole suggesting it was meant to be positioned horizontally.
Reb Ellis (2021 PhD thesis forthcoming) states:
This is a late Iron Age/ Early Romano-British duck looped fitting is of a bird style see in England and Wales from 50BC onwards, as evi…

Possible Iron Age or Roman (c. 100 BC to AD c. 400) unidentifiable copper alloy artefact: The fragment has a curvature which may be similar to a hemisphere which has along the long edge two patches of patina over the edge which is perhaps the rim which is undecorated. The opposite edge has a trace of a patina which covers the edge and is shaped at c. 110° which may suggest it is a trace of the base of a vessel. Otherwise all the edges of the fragment are broken, but not recently. The exterior surface has a circular cell, with a cirved profile, and at the centre the trace of a short, …
