An incomplete Iron Age cast copper-alloy brooch, of Mackreth's prototype Langton Down, Colchester Strand type, dating c. AD 25-60. The brooch comprises the wings, part of the hook, the bow and the catch plate. The spring and pin are missing. The wings of the brooch are rectangular in shape and in cross-section, with worn rounded terminals. The remains of a broken hook projects upwards from the centre. The wings, which are broken at each end, are openly cylindrical and have the surviving part of a u-shaped notch on the rear wall. The remaining part of the upper bow possesses a bowed crest with a shallow ridge beneath and a small part of the flat plate below. A complete cast copper-alloy bead probably dating from the late Iron Age to the Roman period. The band is biconical in cross section. There is a prominent ridge around the central axis of the band from which the sides taper to the edges unevenly. The outer and inner surfaces are undecorated, are worn and have several notches in places. The surfaces have mid-grey patination. The bead measures 11.06 external diameter. A complete Early Iron Age copper-alloy razor of Type Havre (Jockenhoevel's Zweischneidige Rasiermesser) dating c. 800-600 BC. The body of the razor is pelta shaped with a rounded apex and two backward projecting arms that curve to a point either side. The plate has a casting seam to one side of the apex extending from the edge to the sub-circular perforation at the centre. A complete cast copper-alloy bead of Iron Age to Medieval date. The best is circular in plan with rounded edges and a central circular perforation giving it a short cylindrical appearance. The surfaces have dark brown patination and there are several areas of pitting and abrasion. The bead measures 15mm external diameter and the perforation is 7mm diameter. It weighs 6 grams.

A complete Iron Age cast copper-alloy ‘swan's neck’ pin. The head of the pin is circular, flat and sub-rectangular in cross-section with rounded edges.
